How long has Travelers been around? Created in Minnesota, US, in 1853, Travelers has been an industry leader from the start. What types of insurance products does Travelers offer in the UK and Ireland? The company provides a wide range of property and casualty insurance products that are distributed primarily by brokers to a range of industries, including public sector, transport, technology, media and entertainment, and professions, including solicitors, architects, accountants and chartered surveyors. Travelers Syndicate Management, writing through Syndicate 5000 at Lloyd’s, writes five specialist classes of insurance: aviation; global property; marine; power and utilities; and accident and special risks. What kind of community involvement does Travelers have? Travelers in the UK runs a programme for donations to local charities and organisations. The philosophy for giving donations is that they should benefit the local community in which the Company operates, with particular attention given to schemes which support education, community development and arts and culture in the surrounding area.
Travelers also has a volunteering scheme whereby employees are entitled to an extra day’s holiday each year to participate in a charitable volunteering project.
